My baby sister is 12 years old.
Every month, I order her a few books from Amazon.
As soon as she receives the book, she sends me a picture of it.
Once she’s done reading, she texts me: “I finished the book 😁”
This week, I sent her “The Night Diary” by Veera Hiranandani.
The historical fiction set in 1947 is the story of a 12-year-old girl’s “search for home, for her own identity…and for a hopeful future.”
This book is unlike any I have ever sent to my sister. I wasn’t sure if she would find it interesting.
To my surprise, my mom said that my sister sat with the book all evening and finished it in one go.
My sister then sent me this message.
It made me so happy!
I love it when she reads a book I’ve sent her.
And I love it even more when she finishes reading the book within 4 hours!
It’s the simple things in life that can keep both siblings happy… like sending books and reading them 🙂
Here are some more books she liked:
1. Space Case by Stuart Gibbs
2. Spaced Out by Stuart Gibbs
3. Diary of a Wimpy Kid series by Jeff Kinney
4. Bloom by Nicola Skinner.
