Yesterday, someone left an ‘unkind’ comment on my LinkedIn post.
I responded with kindness and a hint of self-deprecation.
Later, this person messaged me on Facebook.
“You handled it well to say the least. I’m sorry I wrote that…”
“What was your line of thought? I thought you’d just delete the comment, ignore it or write back worse.”
1. People are bitter because they are going through bad things, and no one responds to them or helps them
2. Kindness and acknowledgement kill the bitterness
3. Kindness is a skill too; keep working on it.
And that’s how I deal with ‘unkind’ comments: with empathy and compassion.
How do you deal with ‘unkind’ comments?

P.P.S. Treat everyone with kindness… not because they are nice, but you are!
